“My mother had only one eye. And I couldn’t stand seeing her..” a story from which it is impossible not to get goose bumps.

My mother had only one eye. And I couldn’t stand seeing her because I was embarrassed of her, and I had to carry that humiliation with me all the time.

She worked as a cook in school.

She came to pick me up from school one day, and I was furious and embarrassed. I sprinted away from her so that my classmates wouldn’t see me.

-Your mother is one-eyed,’ one of my classmates said the next day.

As soon as I arrived home, I told her everything that was on my mind and that I wished she would die so that I wouldn’t have to be so embarrassed of her.

I began working diligently, then moved to Singapur, continued my education, married, and had my own children.
I was happy, and then one day, she came after me to Singapur.

My children were terrified when they saw her. I kicked her out of the house. She left silently. Once my friends said that they were throwing a party.

I went there. I went to see my old residence out of curiosity. The neighbor told me that my mother had passed away and handed me a letter. It said:

“My darling son, I apologize for everything, sorry for scaring your children, sorry for coming to your house,I wish I was still alive to witness from afar how you arrived here. You see, when you were a little boy, you had a misfortune and lost your eye and I traded mine for yours, and now I’m glad you have that eye.

With love, your mum.”
