Vreeland, an animal rights activist at heart, has always made sure to provide food for the neighborhood animals by placing feeders throughout his yard for the little birds and squirrels.
However, once, like the rest of us, he had to get used to the new normal of self-isolation, he made the decision to go farther.
After starting to work, he created a charming small fenced-in, outdoor restaurant with teeny benches, a Maitre d’ bar, a menu, a wardrobe facility, and even some elegant art in the shape of some carefully chosen squirrel figurines.
The fancy French title he chose the eatery, “Maison du Noix,” which means to “The Nut House,” offers some idea of what is on the plate.
He provides his visitors with a variety of seeds, crusty bread, fresh peanuts in their shells, and delectable counter-softened apples.
Soon after the restaurant opened, customers began to arrive, and it was obvious that the establishment would be successful.
The lovely clients loved the new place and thought the meticulously crafted cuisine was very great.
