Squidget was found in a parking lot of an apartment complex.
The little girl was curled up next to a dumpster and was very small, just over 2 pounds.
The rescuers from Michigan Humane Society brought her to the Detroit Center for Animal Care.
They found out that though Squidget looked very tiny, she was actually not a puppy but an 8 month old dog.
She is a bit shy but she is alert and would no doubt make a good companion.
She was sent to a foster home so that she could gain a healthy weight. Squidget got adopted in some weeks.
This little dog is a survivor.
