This story proves once again that hardship can be overcome with love and kindness. One cold night on the streets of York, Animal Control Center staff noticed this stray dog.
When they saw the dog, she was pregnant and needed urgent help. He was taken to Halfway Rescue, where he was immediately taken care of. Further research showed that the dog needed urgent surgery.
That only his life was in danger, but also that of his future children. The mother was saved but unfortunately she lost the babies.
The dog was in a very bad condition, he was very sad, scared and confused.
Soon another orphaned dog, named Raisin, was brought to the shelter. He was introduced to Daya and everything changed in their lives, and Daya immediately accepted the baby, seeing him as her unborn child. And Raisin received maternal love and warmth from her.
An amazing relationship developed between them and they both adopted a snap.
