Gorilla mom takes her baby to meet a woman and her newborn, on the other side of the glass
A gorilla mom and her little baby starred in the most beautiful encounter with a young couple who was visiting the zoo, together with their little infant of only one month old.
While the world insists on seeing the differences that exist between men and animals, giving these first a position of superiority, this story shows us that before the call of love we are all equal.
The gorilla mom and this family starred in a tender viral moment.

The event happened at the Franklin Park Zoo, in Boston (United States), when the spouses Emmelina Austin and Michael Austin decided to spend a different afternoon with their little baby named Canyón.
Everything was going normally, amid the laughter of the parents in love who were enjoying that first walk with their newborn. But upon arriving at the gorilla area something completely caught the attention of Emmelina and Michael.
The woman decided to present her baby to the gorilla named Kiki without waiting for her reaction.
It seems that Kiki had understood Emmelina perfectly and fell in love with the little Canyon. But besides this, like every proud mother, the gorilla decided to exhibit her son as well.
The little gorilla named Pablo was also on the spot and was shown by Kiki with the same love with which Emmelina exhibited her baby. For a moment it seemed that these were two women who met in the park to talk about their children.
The scene was rather peculiar for everyone.
Those present that afternoon at the zoo were moved by the gorilla’s reaction and therefore Michael decided to portray the emotional moment with Kiki.
“My wife mentioned that she felt that she could understand their bond and see how much she cared about Pablo, since she is now a mother. My wife picked up our son to show him to Kiki, who was on the other side of the enclosure… Then Kiki grabbed Pablo and put him on her leg to take him to Emmelina,” Michael said.
Despite the language barriers, both mothers managed to connect and enjoy the moment perfectly. Once the families were face to face, Emmelina and Kiki were left contemplating each other in their roles of mom, while making gestures with their hands.
Somehow, the gorilla was communicating and made the woman feel the emotion of that nice encounter. It seems that the two established a friendship and maternal confidentiality immediately.
Kiki melted with love for the human baby.
Not only did the gorilla enjoy the talk, but little Pablo was also excited to meet his human friends.
“[Kiki] was talking to us with her hands. Paul even pushed his face into the glass at one point and they saw him, nose touching, together. My wife and I had tears in our eyes,” Michael said.
This is not the first time that an animal of this species is carried away by its feelings of motherhood, because in the past we saw how an orangutan got excited in front of a pregnant woman.
Michael decided to record Kiki’s reaction and this is the touching video.
The Austin family left the venue in love with the scene and assured it will be an anecdote to share with Canyon in the future. This little one will be able to brag among his friends that his mommy has a gorilla friend so special that she wanted to carry him when he was only one month old.
Surely, this family will visit the zoo more often and we hope they publish their encounters. Now we are left in no doubt that motherhood is stronger than any differences between species.
