Dog with rare brain tumor gets second chance with implant

A dog with a rare brain tumor is mobilizing people around the world to save his life. The two-year-old dog was turned over to an abattoir in Texas.

Emma’s friends were contacted to see if they could help provide end-of-life care for the dog, as Bliss had been diagnosed with a rare brain tumor (multilobular osteochondrosarcoma).

However, through medical testing, they learned that Bliss was a healthy young dog in all other respects and was not neurologically affected by the disease.

Hearing this, Emma’s friends found out how they could cure her tumor.

Lifesaver founder Elizabeth Hart turned to a veterinary oncosurgeon in Ontario, Canada to find out how Bliss could be saved.

After much discussion, they came to the conclusion that the tumor should be removed and replaced with an implant made in Australia.

We all wish him good health and a speedy recovery. Get well soon. Thank you to the doctors who took such a big risk and decided to help her!
