The news that Garner would appear as Elektra, as well as the Deadpool 3 set photos showing Deadpool and Wolverine fighting at the foot of a destroyed 20th Century Fox logo, seem to hint that the movie will be adapting a version of the comic book story Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe.
Deadpool 3 rumors say a mix of that story and the X-Men event House of M is in play for the film, which is why Olsen’s Scarlet Witch appears in the fan art.
According to the rumors, Deadpool 3 is revisiting Earth-838 from Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Olsen’s Wanda Maximoff would not come from the main MCU timeline but from that Earth. Deadpool 3’s cast is heavily rumored to include Patrick Stewart’s Professor X, James Marsden’s Cyclops, Ian McKellen’s Magneto, and more characters from the Fox Marvel movies.
Garner’s return as Elektra also hints at the rumor that Ben Affleck will appear as Daredevil being true. If the rumors are accurate, then Deadpool 3 might be on the way to breaking the $1 billion mark at the worldwide box office next year.
