Singer and actress Lady Gaga has been appointed co-chair of the US President’s Committee on Culture and the Arts. This is stated in the decree of US President Joe Biden, distributed by the White House press service.
The document notes that Lady Gaga (real name Stephanie Germanota) has received 13 Grammy Awards and is one of the most successful commercial singers in history. He is also actively involved in charitable activities and public campaigns.
Producer Bruce Cohen was appointed the other co-chairman of the committee. In addition to two of them, the commission included 22 other people, including musician John Batista, actors George Clooney and Troy Kotsura, actresses Jennifer Garner, Kerry Washington and Katie McGrath, screenwriter Shonda Rhimes.
This committee was established in 1982.: It advises the President of the United States and the heads of relevant American departments in the field of culture.
