Skin-to-skin contact is common in Scandinavia. For premature babies, it is used as an alternative to incubation, as human interaction is very important for weak creatures. This approach was known as the “kangaroo approach”.
Babies are placed on the mother’s or father’s bare chest every day for a few minutes to a few hours. Thanks to this technique, babies adapt to their environment, develop intellectually and gain weight.

Thus, after a while, the child adapts to the external environment and affects all the senses of children. Baby feels touch, beats, hears heartbeat and mother’s voice, smells breast milk and smells mother’s body.
As a result of the same research, it was found that people grow faster with this method than in an incubator. It also prevents further problems and deaths.
