Shania is dedicated to taking care of horses on a farm, she shares part of her day-to-day life through her TikTok social network @southernbelletouch.
Last year, Shania went through a rather difficult time: divorcing her partner, a process that she struggled to face where tears were inevitable.
In one of these episodes where she felt vulnerable, the woman burst into tears, incredibly, one of the horses begins to comfort her.
The animal responded by resting its head on the woman’s back and pushing her towards her torso as if simulating an embrace, just as an empathetic person would do when seeing someone in that situation.
The horse’s reaction surprised many users on social networks.
Shania usually documents and shares many of the moments she spends next to her horses, many users believed that her sadness was because she was grieving for the departure of her father, however, she clarified that it was for another situation.
“I was in the process of getting divorced and that day was my moving day. I was just hiding from my emotions and my horse Shiner felt it. He felt my pain and just pulled me to his chest to let me cry and calmed me down with his pushes,” the woman said.
Shania assures that horses are very noble little animals so they can feel our emotions, with their small actions they help us feel better. In this regard he commented:
“Horses sense our emotions and are great at living in the present, so they can take our emotions away and just let them go.”
