The owner of this dog was Lance Schloss, he loved fishing and often went fishing with his dog. The incident took place at the beginning of February, when they stopped in the open sea, suddenly the boat capsized.
The dog appeared in the water with its owner. The man was able to hold on to the board and stay above the surface of the water, but the dog carried the water.
The dog was struggling desperately against the waves, trying to swim to shore. But since they were quite far from the sea, he tried to swim and reach land for nearly eleven hours.
Luckily, the next day they managed to pull the dog out of the water, which was noticed by a fisherman. The fisherman noticed that the dog was restless and wanted to get back into the water.
He called the rescuers. Four hours later, rescuers finally found the ship capsized and the dogs were still hanging from the boat. Both were taken to hospital as they felt well. Heidi reportedly did not survived if the dog had not been there.
