A man who makes a living collecting scrap has been feeding cats every day for 22 years

Seventy-six-year-old Willie Ortiz was born in the poorest state in the United States. Here he could not achieve any future goals. Then he moved to Connecticut, where life was not easy either. Then he served in the army.

Either way, Willi Ortiz has spent most of his life picking up junk from junkyards and driving home. This money was enough for him to barely earn a living. Despite his hard life, he is a real hero: for twenty-two years he fed homeless animals that lived in anywhere.

He is not bothered by bad weather or health problems. He could not miss work not only because he could not earn money but also because the animals did not starve. It all happened as the man was starting his scrap metal career. One day he saw a little kitten outside a cafe trying to ask people for food.

The animal was very hungry and barely survived, but instead of helping it, people treated it very cruelly. So this man helped the kitten and after that day it became a habit for him. But he didn’t have enough funds to feed everyone on his own, and after a while his neighbors came to his aid.

Many people brought him leftover food or helped him with money. Many people didn’t understand why he was doing such a thing at that age.

So, he replied to everyone that humans and animals want to eat regardless of their location.
