According to ilovemydogsomuch, a doggie called Powder was abandoned in the midst of the Florida Everglades by his callous parents.
The doggie had no notion how to survive in the desolate swamp.

He endured days without food, and the hard climate led him to contract many diseases.
The unfortunate doggie understood that no one would ever find him, so he went to a lonely location and died.
A traveling couple noticed the terrified and puzzled him and approached him.

They phoned the Broward Sheriff’s Office and informed the frail doggie that he would be helped shortly.
When the officers came, they discovered that he was too ill to move.
He was consoled by the officers, who provided him food and drink and gradually earned his confidence.

They then dragged him to the vehicle. They phoned Dezzy’s New Chance Animal Sanctuary and gave over the doggie for immediate assistance.
However, his medical test proved that the doggie would not have lived in the swamp for long.
He suffered from severe, oozing mange as well as internal illnesses. He required eye surgery, but the doctor delayed it until his illnesses cleared up.

He has a long road to rehabilitation ahead of him, but he is now in wonderful care.
Though his owner may never be identified, it saddens us to know that someone purposefully abandoned a puppy to perish in the woods.
We hope him heals quickly and gets a permanent home with a caring fam that will never desert him. Keep going, nice boy!
