After a long day at work, a group of construction personnel heard the small pup’s desperate screams.
As a result, they were acutely aware that they needed to act.
They began looking for and tracking the sound, but they did not found anything.
They continued to hear the screams, so one of them looked overhead and recognized that the sounds were coming from the above.
When they witnessed a little Chihuahua puppy clutched in the talons of a hawk orbiting the skies with it, it was a tragic image.
They were all stunned and unsure what to do, but the hawk abruptly let go of the Chihuahua, which came swerving down.
So the staff rushed over to check on the puppy and couldn’t comprehend what they saw.
Luckily, the puppy was injured but not severely, allowing staff to pick him up and transport him to the local vet, where he was evaluated and determined to be alright.
The small pup, who was transported to Austin Animal Clinic (AAC), had multiple scrapes, bruises, and scrapes, but considering he was flung from the sky by a hawk, he was in excellent condition.
Following the harrowing episode with the hawk, he was offered IV fluids to help him recover.
Fortunately the small baby, is currently recoveringg and getting regular nourishment, and he will be able to be fostered once he is fully healed.
