A guy discovers a dying pup buried alive in the dirt, but it is ‘not at all a pup.’

When the personnel at “Skegness Natureland Seal Refuge” got an urgent call from a guy called Ian Ellis, they were put to the test, says ilovemydogsomuch.

Ian was reportedly bird-watching at the RSPB Site in Frampton Marshes when he noticed something peculiar through his binoculars.

Ian saw a large herd of around 30 cows encircling a trapped, comatose puppy.

The unfortunate baby was trapped in the swampy dirt, and the cows stood around nervously, wondering how to aid the suffering infant.

Given the short amount of time and the unpredictability of the scenario, the shelter personnel gave Ian critical advice on how to negotiate the group and recover the baby.

When he took a proper look, he realized the animal was not a puppy, but rather a newborn seal!

The following hour was stressful, but the 67-year-old animal rights activist obeyed the employees’ instructions to the letter and actually carried the frightened pup to freedom!

Celebration, the newborn seal, was transported to the refuge’s infirmary in a dehydrated and sluggish state.

She was only 5 days old and was most probably abandoned. Celebration may have landed up in the wetlands after being carried away by a strong tide, according to the veterinarian.

The newborn seal remained on hydrating fluids for the following several days until her health normalized.

Celebration is too immature to eat on her own in water, thus she cannot be returned into her natural environment at this time.

Another important concern is her respiratory problem, which is being treated with antibiotics.

Celebration is already getting along well with the other puppies in the refuge, and it’s just a short amount of time before she recovers completely!
