The water temp in South Lake Tahoe hit a sweltering 30°C (86°F) one day, and considering that the bears had to spend the day roaming about in their fur coats, it’s simple to understand why this family chose to go for a dip.
Jen, who was on Pope Beach at the moment, photographed a huge mama bear and her three offspring.

Jen informed KCRA News that when her child came face to face with another four-legged beach guest, she saw the mom bear immediately.
«I guess (the mama bear) was out previously…», she speculated. She grew a bit angry when guarding the golden retriever cubs.»
Luckily, neither the doggie nor the pups were harmed, and the mum proceeded to plan a lunch for her children, stealing sandwich meat and a coolers from the people and carrying them into the forest.

After lunchtime, the family went to the water, where the babies were seen swimming in the water while surprised spectators watched on. «We were all a bit taken aback,» Jen said.
As per Newsweek, the black bear fam located near Pope Beach is one of 25,000-35,000 in California, with sightings growing in North and South Lake Tahoe in latest days.

Regardless of the fact that the mama bear caused no harm during her trip to Pope, Placer County Sheriff’s Office Lt. Nelson stressed that these animals may be “extremely deadly.”
We’re in their turf when we’re in the hills and Sierra (Nevada),» he stated.

«Don’t feed them, encourage them, agitate them, or approach them in such setting…
