The little dog that is still waiting for its owner who was on board the ARA San Juan submarine

The love that our pets feel for us, is a kind of feeling that we cannot compare with anything. Each of the actions we do for them, is immediately rewarded with a gesture of love on their part, and it’s really sad when for one reason or another we have to part with them. Unfortunately, one canine had to part with its owners, and to this day the dog is waiting for them at their place of departure.

Eliana Krawczyk, is a 35-year-old woman, a native of Oberá, Argentina, who belongs to the navy of that country as a naval lieutenant, and in turn, as the first female officer submariner. This wonderful lady was the only woman of the forty-four crew of the ARA San Juan submarine that disappeared last year.

One of Eliana’s great qualities was the love she professed for dogs. So great was his affection that he devoted his free time to the small canines of the militia.

At the time the submarine started its missions from the Mar del Plata Naval Base, who was waiting at the exit was a Commando, one of the dogs that Eliana took care of and the pet of the entire crew. The canine, seeing the ARA San Juan set sail, decided to do the greatest feat of his life, jumped into the water without any fear as usual for him, and swam trying to get to where the submarine was.

“He wants to get on the submarine. Now he will stay crying until they come back again,” one of the crew members commented. However, the crew never returned.

All this great scene was recorded thanks to one of the navy sailors and was made known thanks to the YouTube account of the newspaper Los Andes, a video that so far has more than 40 thousand views.

Below, you can see how Commando desperately swims behind the submarine so that he can get back into Eliana’s arms. Unfortunately, that will not happen again.

Despite the fact that the Argentine Navy had announced the completion of rescue attempts towards the crew of the ARA San Juan, Comando remains optimistic and with great faith that the submarine will return. This loyal canine is still waiting for the members in front of the sea with a lot of patience, right in the same place where they left.

This beautiful dog is a great sign of optimism, fidelity and loyalty. Who would have thought that by swimming behind the submarine that day, she would be saying goodbye to her dear friend Eliana. We hope this great four-legged friend manages to recover from this terrible tragedy and can get a family that gives him a lot of love.
