The reality of a pregnant stray dog who has to manage to give birth on the street, breaks anyone’s soul. This is not counting the unfair treatment to which they are exposed due to insensitivity and lack of human compassion.
On the other hand, there are many puppies that each spend their days in a shelter waiting for the right people to invite them to meet true love.
Although they have a roof and food next to wonderful people who care about them, these furry ones want to feel really special and be part of the life of someone who loves them unconditionally.
A dog’s labor can last between 3 and 12 hours.

Luckily, there are many animal lovers who open the doors of their homes to provide new opportunities for the most vulnerable puppies.
Chris and Mariesa are a furry-loving couple, who although they already have 12 dogs at home, continue to visit different shelters to change the lives of more dogs.
When the dog’s vulva begins to swell, it is that she is going into labor.
On one of their visits they met Storie, a sweet pregnant dog who was waiting for a lucky break to be able to give birth to her pups away from the shelter.
Storie was already about to give birth but refused to go into labor in the conditions of the shelter. When Chirs and Mariesa saw her, they knew she was the right dog to take home.
Dogs also feel contractions that can cause them great pain.
Due to her condition it seemed that she could give birth at any time, the couple wanted to make sure that it happened in a totally comfortable and arranged place for her.
After leaving the shelter they took her to the vet where they performed an ultrasound. Incredibly the sweet Storie had 12 pups inside her belly.
It is recommended to condition a small space for the dog to give birth.
Chris and Mariesa prepared everything for the dog to give birth at home, soon the 12 puppies would know the outside world.
But it didn’t take long for Storie to go into labor. Just 18 hours after taking her out of the shelter, the new mom was giving birth in a loving home.
Her tender story has touched thousands of hearts.
The furry-loving couple was completely thrilled to be able to witness such a unique moment. It seemed like a perfect triangle full of love where Chirs, Mariesa and Storie welcomed the 12 new puppies.
The days after were of total tenderness, Storie enjoyed her young as they grew up feeding directly from her breast. Chris and Mariesa each fell in love with a puppy, so they decided to keep it forever. The rest of the dogs were put up for adoption.
Storie will share the rest of her life with two of her pups and other furry friends.
Thanks to Pibbles and Mores Animal Rescue all the puppies managed to find loving homes. What a happiness to know that there are people like Chris and Mariesa, the world needs more people like them, animal lovers.
It is really hard to think about the very different fate that awaited this sweet mother had it not been for this hero couple. Perhaps they could even have sacrificed her for going into depression, or simply because no one would have adopted her.
Open the doors of your house, but above those of your heart and change the life of a puppy. There are many furry friends in shelters waiting to feel loved. Encourage yourself to adopt knowing that the first life that will change will be yours.
