Homeless animals fight every day. Finding food and water is difficult for them.
Staying away from the elements is another daily challenge. Many do not understand that there are people who consider stray animals “parasites” and harm them.
It’s heartbreaking, but it’s a reality in many countries where there are no laws against cruelty to animals.
The puppy, who was not doing anything to anyone, was knocked down several times by a man under the influence of drugs. His injuries were fatal.
When the puppy, later named Leona, was found, she was lying helpless on the sidewalk. She had infected ears, balance problems and serious leg injuries.
She was in such a bad way that she couldn’t even get up. She blushes, expecting someone to save her.
Fortunately, someone got out of there!
Leona, very young, was taken to the vet. The doctor immediately realized that she would need surgery to survive. Leona was also in a lot of pain.
The doctor immediately gave her an intravenous painkiller. Leona cried real tears. But fortunately, everything changed soon!
Leona’s surgery went very well. It will take a while for her to recover, but so far she is recovering quickly.
She also has a loving caregiver (and animal rescuer) who will stop at nothing until she finds the perfect home. He’s in good hands.
