The pit bull is a wonderful breed of dog that has earned a terrible reputation over the past few years because of soulless who breed them for illegal fights. A fame that increased for being considered one of the main misnamed potentially dangerous dogs.
Unfortunately, there are many pit bulls that have a hard time finding a home after their rescue, their bad reputation caused several cities in the United States to ban having pit bulls. Denying them the right to a healthy life surrounded by a loving family.

In this way, many pit bulls ended up in the shelters of the city, they were placed in the back of the kennels since they were not up for adoption.
Others, with a less encouraging past, had the same fate, quite possibly they would be sacrificed, so activists and rescuers needed to take relevant measures.
This is the story of Angel, a pit bull who was transferred to a local shelter in the United States, at the time of his rescue, the puppy was noticeably nervous, he could not stop showing his teeth or stop growling. Especially when people approached him. This behavior caused him to be labeled as aggressive.
With a strong countenance and overflowing with energy, none of the volunteers had the courage to take him out of his kennel. It wasn’t until a Kama Rescue volunteer arrived at the shelter and decided to act to help Angel, who was being treated in a derogatory way just for being a pit bull.
The volunteer was heartbroken to see the puppy so alone, with such a lack of affection, it was very likely that he would be euthanized in a matter of days.
Fortunately, he contacted a friend who specializes in canine behavior, after hearing the story of the pit bull, it didn’t take long for the shelter to approach, he wanted to meet Angel and see in the foreground that bad image that they were selling him.
The man took the puppy out of the kennel and took it to the backyard, instantly something magical happened. The little dog rolled on the floor and constantly showed his tummy. A clear sign that he just wanted to be spoiled, loved.
In just a few seconds, this adorable hairball proved that she was not aggressive at all. People had just made assumptions because they were so scared.
The volunteer wanted to save Ángel, but the prohibition in the city made it almost impossible, the other rescues were full so it seemed quite a challenge to be able to protect the pit bull. The rescuer would not give up so he took her out of the shelter and decided to stay with him for a while while the waters calmed down.
During this time she sent a last message to the Hug Hearts Foundation in Los Angeles, she explained to the rescue group that the furry that she was hosting would be euthanized, it was then that the Hug Hearts Foundation staff took care of her.
This adorable hairball was transferred to Los Angeles, for several weeks they worked to improve his behavior and socialization. Incredibly, the ban on pit bulls in Sioux City, where he had been rescued, was soon lifted.
Fortunately, more and more cities are learning every day that the problem is not the race but the type of person who is in charge of the puppy. Angel continues to thrive by leaps and bounds, those who have followed his process are super happy to see that he has become a docile puppy and full of a lot of love.
Pit bulls are suffering an unfair fame and condemnation that has nothing to do with their true character. Like other puppies, they are loving, affectionate and very playful. All dogs deserve happy homes, that make them feel safe and infinitely loved.
