For 6 years, Dr. Jem Baikal has been walking past the same furniture store on his way to work. Also that day, he saw two stray dogs still sitting in front of the store.
The dogs became best friends and always slept on those mattresses left for them by the workers.
This store sold such things and the owner decided to leave mattresses for them so that they would not freeze and they would have somewhere to sleep.
In winter they look after them better and are very well taken care of, give them food and water.
The street is in a prosperous part of the city, and some neighbors kind of helped out by donating food or water to previously known homeless animals.
But it was this caring shop owner who made sure they got quality linens so they could have a good rest.
This gesture said a lot, because not everyone would do that, and it was very nice to see․
