Zookeeper reunites with old elephant friend 32 years later

This is Peter Adams who worked for a long time at Calderpark in Glasgow. He was a zookeeper. He kept and cared for an Asian elephant, with whom he had many contacts, for almost 20 years.

From 1970 to 1987 they met every day and during this time they became very close. And when the elephant was removed from the zoo, Peter no longer wanted to stay and work there.

He discovered that the elephant was alive and in Germany and decided to visit it.

He wasn’t sure the elephant would recognize him, but he decided to see him anyway. Imagine his surprise when he greeted the caretaker very warmly and hugged him.

He did not believe that elephants forget something, but after this incident he was convinced that this was true, because the elephant received him very warmly and it was really very touching.

Peter said that he will always miss the elephant very much and keep this memory in his heart.

Elephants are said to distinguish and recognize humans by their voices. Peter said he would try to see the elephant more often.

This elephant is described in the new zoo as an intelligent and capable elephant who likes to dominate his species. The elephant has left this zoo. If it was interesting, please share this with your friends and family.
