Barry Gearhart’s favorite pit bull, the Titan, he was stolen from the backseat of his truck a year ago.
He says the day Titan disappeared was the worst day of his life and he has cried many nights since then.
Although Gearhart couldn’t find Titan, he never gave up hope of seeing his furry best friend again.
A year passed, but Gearhart was still looking for Titan. He posted a picture of himself on his Facebook page, hoping someone would help him find it.
That’s when the shelter volunteer saw the photo and thought the pit bull at his shelter looked like a Titan.
The shelter dog, whom they named Hank, was elderly and took socialization classes, but they couldn’t get him to behave the way they wanted him to.
2 days later, he must have been asleep. Gearhart immediately went to the hideout and quickly discovered that “Hank” was actually Titan!
Their touching reunion was filmed and Titan immediately recognized him as a person.
Luckily, Gearhart decided to post this photo of Titan as a last ditch effort to find him, otherwise he wouldn’t be here today.
