Shelter staff discovers a small trembling puppy in a box at the front door

Someone put this tiny puppy in a box and left it out in the freezing cold in front of the San Antonio animal shelter.

Abandoning a pet is cruel, but the fact that this person even left him in a shelter saved his life. If the puppy had not been found in the morning, the puppy would most likely have died of hypothermia.

When one of the employees found the box, he saw a note on it and found an excited and frightened puppy.

They quickly brought the puppy inside to keep him warm and give him food and water. One of their rescue partners, the Texas Animal Welfare League, heard about the puppy and agreed to adopt him.

The puppy, now named Charlie, will stay with them until it reaches foster age.

“While Charlie is now safe, whoever dumped her did not follow the proper process for helping a pet – owned or lost,” San Antonio Animal Services wrote.

During the time spent in the cardboard box, who knows what could have happened that could have endangered his safety. “This is a reminder to those who cannot care for pets: Please think well and do the right thing.

Soon the puppy will have a loving family of her own and never have to worry about being abandoned again. If it was interesting, please share this with your friends and family.
